Patriot Front Members Don't Make Good Lawyers

If you join the Patriot Front and get sued, or criminally charged for your white nationalist activities, the Patriot Front will not help you. You are on your own. If you don't have tens of thousands of dollars laying around, keep your hate to yourself.

There's a court case in the Eastern District of Virginia against the Patriot Front and it's not going well for the hate group members.

It's a civil rights case brought by two members of a Richmond neighborhood who claim that were terrorized by the Patriot Front. The allegations are that Patriot Front members destroyed a mural of Arthur Ashe in an effort to scare the predominantly black neighborhood.

Nathaniel Noyce Patriot Front Member

One defendant, Patriot Front member Nathaniel Noyce requested from the court a time extension for Noyce to find a lawyer to represent him. In the same filing, Noyce also requested a time extension for fellow Patriot Front member Thomas Dail. Noyce also requested that he be allowed to hire a lawyer in Maryland, rather than Virginia, as required.

Noyce filed these motions with the court on February 2. A week later, Noyce got his answers. On February 7, the judged denied the request to hire a Maryland lawyer. The judge said that a lawyer from Maryland could be hired, but that lawyer would need to follow the law around seeking "foreign" representation and work with a Virginia licensed lawyer.

The judge did grant Noyce's motion for an extension - until March 1, 2023.

Regarding Dail, the judge didn't recognize Noyce's attempt to file a motion on Dail's behalf. In fact, Noyce was "admonished" by the judge for improperly filing a motion on Dail's behalf. Therefore, Dail is out of compliance with the court and has until February 20 to comply.
