The deadline has passed, yet the judge is still considering letting Patriot Front members serve an anti-fascist hero in a civil case in Washington state.
The defendant infiltrated Patriot Front and exposed the identities of a bunch of members. Being exposed as fascists apparently cost these fascists their jobs. You can read about a bunch of these fools on Unicorn Riot.
The judge ruled previously that plaintiffs had until February 2024 to serve the defendant or the case is dismissed. The fasists never served the defendant, and now they're back in court seven months later asking to use "alternative" means to serve the defendant.
The alternative means is to run an ad in a newspaper in the county that the fascists believe the defendant is living in, even though, they have no idea where this defendant is living.
The judge didn't approve the use of alternative service methods, but he gave the fascists 14 days to prove that he should approve their request.
The judge agreed to two of the three points made in the Patriot Front initial filing. The judge disagreed that they have proven that the defendant is trying to conceal is identity to avoid being served.
The main fascist lawyer is Glen K. Allen, of Baltimore. He filed a document stating that in his expert opinion, the defendant is definitely concealing their identity to avoid being served in this case. Allen didn't mention as evidence of his expertise the fact that every single one of his clients in this case attempted to avoid being served in another civil case brought against Patriot Front in Virginia.
I think they only served the Patriot Front leader in that case because he got arrested in Texas.
It's absurd that this judge is hearing this after the deadline to serve this person expired seven months ago. It just goes to show that if you can get a fancy lawyer to file documents on your behalf, you can use the courts as a weapon.
