Baltimore Lawyer Glen Allen is now representing four of the more than two dozen Patriot Front members being sued by two Richmond, Virginia residents, according to court documents filed this week in the Eastern District of Virginia US District Court.
Last week, Allen filed the paperwork to represent two Patriot Front members Nathan Noyce and Thomas Dail. At the same time, Allen also filed a motion to dismiss the case.
The plaintiff's attorney, Michael Shebelskie, responded to Allen's motion to dismiss by requesting more time to prepare a full response to Allen's arguments in his motion to the court.
It's in this filing by Shebelskie, that indicates Allen is now representing two more Patriot Front members.
Plaintiffs understand that counsel [Allen] for Noyce and Dail may represent two additional defendants, Paul Gancarz and Daniel Turetchi."
Last week, Turetchi and Gancarz filed essentially verbatim motions with the court for a time extension to find a lawyer. And this is when Allen steps in to represent Patriot Front members in this case.
Shebelskie told the court that he believes Gancarz is going to challenge being served properly.
We [plaintiffs] also are advised that Defendant Gancarz may file a separate motion based on insufficiency of service of process, which would be subject to a separate briefing schedule.
Plaintiff attorneys are seeking to make one response to all of the defendant's legal arguments.
Allen is a known lawyer around Maryland, particularly in Baltimore. Back in 2016, Allen's credibility as a lawyer took a hit when it became public his membership in a white nationalist organization. Even still, Allen is a real lawyer, and someone is paying his hourly rate.
If the judge grants Allen's motion to dismiss the case, then it's all over short and sweet. If not, Allen's legal bills are going to get real for Patriot Front members.
